They describe the specifics of this version and point at the quite remarkable features of this new version.<\/p>\n<p>First, it is possible to download the version 4 beta. So, why not? (apart from the risk associated with working in a software version which is not fully debugged and may not even work when the final version reaches the online shelves &#8211; you&#8217;ve been warned)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The public beta version of Lightroom 4 can be downloaded <a href=\"http:\/\/labs.adobe.com\/technologies\/lightroom4\/\">on the Adobe Labs website<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ylovephoto.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/lightroom-100608-4-300x195.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"lightroom-100608-4\" width=\"300\" height=\"195\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11443\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The most prominent progress certainly comes from the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the RAW dematricing engine has been improved again<\/li>\n<li>some new modules were included to support book and maps creation using your own photos<\/li>\n<li>a new interface to touch-up colors and tones<\/li>\n<li>it becomes possible to locally correct the white balance<\/li>\n<li>digital noise and moire local correction<\/li>\n<li>new features targeting video correction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t have the time (or the courage) to try it by yourselves, I recommend a few good posts I found on the Internet:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/news\/2012\/01\/16\/lr4interview\">interview of Tom Hogarty<\/a> on DPReview.com, who talks about Lightroom 4 from the point of view of somebody working at Adobe<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/news\/2012\/01\/10\/lr4publicbeta\">hands-on preview of Lightroom4<\/a> at DPReview.com<\/li>\n<li>French tutorial from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.utiliser-lightroom.com\/blog\/2012\/01\/12\/premier-tuto-lightroom-4-sur-questions-photo-les-nouveaux-outils-de-correction-des-tons\/\">Gilles Th\u00e9ophile<\/a><\/li>\n<li>French test and advice from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.questionsphoto.com\/article\/639-lightroom-4-beta-les-nouveautes\">Volker Gilbert<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But even if you do not start playing with the new Lightroom, if you still keep the <em>old<\/em> version of Lightroom, it is still possible to spend some time using Lightroom.
