Surprisingly, the PMA fair has been the opportunity to announce not only new products, but also the death of some others. The most prominent ones:
- Leica announces the end of its R-Series manual focus SLR cameras. Probably to be replaced by something else at the same level.
- Nikon has now discontinued the Nikon D40, after a very long and successful life. No replacement announced yet.
